Prayer for mum's health

Holy Saint Rita,

Mum has prayed to you and honoured you all of her life, now she's seriously ill in hospital with non-hodgkins lymphoma, but also a heart condition which is hindering the doctors efforts to fight the cancer. Could I ask you to help mum in this time of trouble, dad is barely holding it together, we need her, dad needs her, she's only 75, still with a lot of life to live and I can honestly say that mum has led a decent life, striving all the time to follow in the path of Our Lord, (something which I'm ashamed to say, I haven't emulated, but I will make an effort to try and be worthy).

Please help her Saint Rita, you, Our Lord, the Holy Mother, help mum fight through this terrible illness and stay with us for a longer time yet.... amen

Dear Saint Rita, Please raise this request up to the Lord. All things are possible through God.

Mum lost her fight 3/11/08, but I think that Saint Rita ensured that her transition was made in peace, for which I truly thank her.... Thankyou too, for your prayers, I really appreciate it

There were over 500 people who came to her funeral, (according to one of the ladies who works at the parish), and I know 250 came to the Rosary.... So nice to know that mum made an impact on those who knew her in life.... She always said that if you give respect and help and friendship to those around you, you'll get that back.......... I guess mum always did know best...

Riposo in pace

Saint Rita, patron saint of impossible causes, we pray you give this family strength as they weather the loss of their Mum. Only 75 and a faithful servant, she has fulfilled her time here. Yet those closest to her have experienced a great loss -- they miss her so! Saint Rita, intercede on their behalf and console them in their grief. Amen.
