Prayers for marriage

I have recently read about Saint Rita and impossible causes. She came to my aid during a work project that I needed strength.
Now I need help and prayers to Saint Rita. My marriage, which has been dying day by day, is collapsing. My husband after 20 years has told me he wants a divorce. Even though I know and ignored the problems we were having I want to not only save our marriage but help it to thrive and be surrounded by God's love. I was neglient in his feelings and we both stopped trying years ago. Reading about St. Rita and the abusive marriage she had she was able to overcome and forgive. I pray to St. Rita to help soften my husband's heart and let the light of love come back into our lives. I pray to you St. Rita because you are the Saint of lost causes and we are lost. Pray for us. I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in God, and I need to have faith and not give up hope.

Dearest Saint Rita,

I lift this beautiful woman's plea to you to save her marriage. I consider her to be a beautiful human being because though she knows she has sinned by not giving her all to the holy sacrament of marriage, she has publicly owed up to being 50% responsible for the current state of affairs and is unlike todays' generation who just doesn't belive in restoring relationships that have faded over time.

Please consider the fact that she does not intend to make a mockery of the institution of marriage. Please offer her a second chance at love and at life. This poor woman will be devastated should her husband go through with the divorce. Please make her and her husband reflect on the good times their marriage offered them, on how they are ordained by God to be one perfect whole when united but when divided, all they will ever be is an incomplete imperfect half.

We know Saint Rita that though you were initially opposed to marriage, once you were directed by God to enter the sacrament, you gave it your best though you always got a raw deal from it. This woman has seen some bady days in her marriage but she has the will and desire to give it her all like you...Please make this possible for her. Amen.

Dear St. Rita and other followers of her, please pray at this critical time in my marriage. We are at a critical path. He is talking of looking at apartments this weekend while I take our daughter to a tournament out of town. Since my initial prayer I have found that someone else had found his attention and gave him all the support I should have been giving him. God hates divorce. I understand that he has a free will and that I pray that he will choose to love me again. We do not fall out of love -- we give up on love. We have this choice. Pray for us that he decides that the marriage is worth fighting for. I cannot change the past but I can only look to the future and pray that he will forgive as I have forgiven him. Please include us in all of your prayers for this coming weekend. Please let him see the emptiness of these apartments without us in them. I pray to you St. Rita and will continue to praise you for your love and support.
